Casa AYA began with a vision of creating a sanctuary where people could reconnect with nature, creativity, and one another. The original idea was born far from the ocean, in the quiet desert landscapes of Joshua Tree, California, where wide skies and stillness inspired the concept of an intimate luxury retreat.
The intention was simple: to design a place where beauty, nature, and thoughtful hospitality could exist in balance.
But life has a way of redirecting even the clearest plans.
When the pandemic reshaped the world, our journey unexpectedly brought us to Peru. What was meant to be a temporary stay slowly unfolded into something far more meaningful. Traveling along the northern coastline, we eventually arrived in Vichayito, a quiet stretch of beach where the desert meets the Pacific Ocean.
Here, the vision for Casa AYA began to evolve.
